Okay let’s be honest. If you have 300 icons on your desktop, 422 piles of paper on your desk and have no idea where most of your files are stored – this is not the how to guide for you. But, if you are a photographer or photo fanatic with a ton of photos and you like to keep them organized than Contenta Converter PREMIUM can not only help you convert but organize at the same time.

We presented in another post how you can organize the names of the output files that Contenta Converter PREMIUM creates. This how-to article will show you how easy and pain free it is to organize your these files into sub-folders as you convert them using Contenta Converter PREMIUM.

Step 1: Select your photos.

Click on the Add Photos button and select from your computer the files you wish to convert. To highlight how renaming works, we are going to pick a bunch of files. Then click the ‘Next’ button.

Select your files for conversion with Contenta Converter PREMIUM

Step 2: Configure the conversion job

Pick convert, we selected JPEG, and any other features you want and then choose SUB FOLDERS. Here you can see the default naming where “%y%” represents the year the file was created.

Select Renaming Options using Contenta Converter PREMIUM

Once you click on CREATE SUBFOLDERS you will see several boxes become editable and in this example we have chosen to rename the sub folders by extension “%ext%” which means that all the files we convert will be stored in a \DNG, \PEF, \RAW folder since their are the extensions of our original photos.

Select sub folders using Contenta Converter PREMIUM

All done!

When you have all the settings the way you like them, you select Start. Soon you will have a successful file conversion and images that are the neatly filed in sub folders to meet your needs!

Successful file conversion using Contenta Converter PREMIUM
