Kodak digital cameras will produce uncompressed DCR RAW photographs with the information stored exactly how it was captured by the camera’s sensor, with no compression or color adjustment. Contenta Converter PREMIUM currently supports pictures taken with a host of Kodak cameras (Click here for the full list of supported cameras). The quality of these images is great, but often you will need to convert the Kodak DCR format, to a more common format like PNG or JPEG.

Contenta Converter PREMIUM handles DCR files. This how-to article will show you how easy and pain free it is to convert DCR files with Contenta Converter PREMIUM.

Step 1: Select your photos.

Click on the Add Photos button and select from your computer the DCR photos you wish to convert. Then click the ‘Next’ button.

Select your Kodak DCR files to convert with Contenta Converter PREMIUM

Step 2: Configure the conversion job

Make sure the “Do convert to format” check box is checked and select the format. In this example we picked JPEG, but the drop down menu also gives you the choices for TIFF, EPS, PDF and more than a dozen other formats! You can also select a different output folder if you want to. This is the location where the files converted to JPEG will be stored.

Select which format to convert to using Contenta Converter Premium

All done!

Click start and soon you will see the final screen and you have your new JPEG files! Tip – We always suggest you save the original DCR files as these will have the best quality if you ever need to convert to other formats in the future.
