This how-to article will show you how easy and pain free it is to perfectly develop your RAW images in just a few simple steps using Contenta Converter PREMIUM.  The RAW format goes by many brand specific variations such as RAW, DNG, CRW, CR2, ORF, MRW, THM, NEF, PEF, SRF, ARW, 3FR, ERF, KDC, SR2, RAF, X3F, DCR, DRF, MEF, MOS, PTX.

Step 1: Select your photos.

Click on the Add Photos button and select from the photo, or even photos, where you want the size adjusted.  Then click the ‘Next’ button.

Step 2: Configure the conversion job

The RAW processing panel will let you develop your digital negatives in batch. You can choose a brightness level. If it is less than 1, your photos will be darker and if it is more than 1 they will be brighter. Brightness adjusts the brightness or darkness of the image.  However, instead of changing the image in the highlights (areas that are completely white, no detail) or shadows (areas that are completely black, no detail), brightness compresses the highlights and expands the shadows when you move the slider to the right.

The white balance gives a particular color temperature to your photos. It refers to the relative warmth or coolness of white light. You can choose to select the white balanced stored in your digital camera or let it be automatically optimized.  White balance is the setting used to make something white appear neutral (without a color cast) in a given light

The last slider on the tab is used to reduce noise — the random appearance of pixels that degrade image quality and often appear when images are shot at high ISOs that are analagous to film grain. You can choose to use denoising. A stronger denoising level will have stronger effect but might remove interesting details.

For all these settings you can use the image preview (upper left ) in order to check the result of your choice of parameters. You can see the original image on the left and the new image on the right.  You can use the buttons to zoom in and out.  We zoomed in quite close so you could see the impact of the change in brightness.

When you have all the settings the way you like them, you select Start.  Soon you will have a successful file conversion and images that are the exact quality to meet your needs!

This how-to article will show you how easy and pain free it is to create an Adobe PDF album.

Step 1: Select your photos.

Click on the Add Photos button and select from your computer the photos you want to add to this album.  You’ll see that in this example we picked multiple formats – CR2, MOS and CRW.  Then click the ‘Next’ button.

Step 2: Configure the conversion job

Choose PDF album and you will have a great range of options.  The default format is PDF, but you can also choose Postscript if needed.  The layout, highlighted in blue, allows you to pick page orientation, resolution, page size, number of photos per page and even the spacing between the photos.  Hit Start to continue.

Step 3 – Name your file

Click start and you will be prompted to select a location and name for the album file.  Hit Save to continue.

Your album will be created at a fraction the size of the original 8 photos.  Ideal for somebody who needs to preview the photos – but has no need to have the actual HUGE image files.

Follow along as we demonstrate just how quick and easy it is to email your photos using Contenta Converter PREMIUM.

Step 1: Select your photos.

Click on the Add Photos button and select from your computer the photos you wish to convert. Now here we are going to show some of the coolest features in Contenta Converter PREMIUM.  You have a Canon Camera that produces CR2 RAW photographs and your spouse has a Mamiya camera that outputs the photos as MOS RAW.  Now odds are that not all your friends can view these formats.  Plus RAW files are quite large so they will be a pain to email.  But we’ll use Contenta Converter PREMIUM to handle all these issues at once! Once you have picked all your files, click the ‘Next’ button.

Step 2: Configure the conversion job

Select the EMAIL option and then you can choose any email program that is registered on your computer.  You can choose to Optimize for email which selects JPEG at 800×60o.  You can even select to ZIP (compress) the files or if you choose not to ZIP, you can have Contenta Converter PREMIUM setup multiple email messages if any one message gets too large (and you can even pick what size means “too large”). Since we are going to use JPEG files to replace the MOS and CR2 files – look at the size difference, 24.1 Mb down to 1.8 Mb.

Conversion done – get ready to email!

Click start and soon you will see the final screen that says the files are converted. Click on Email to start the sending of your photos.

Send and Done!

Here you see what it would look like in Outlook.  Contenta Converter PREMIUM opens up a new message and attaches the files.  Now, you will have to type the message and hit the send key – but Contenta Converter PREMIUM has truly done all the rest!

We’ll show you the easy and pain free way to do this with Contenta Converter PREMIUM.

Step 1: Select your photos.

Click on the Add Photos button and select from your computer the .CR2 photos you wish to convert. Then click the ‘Next’ button.

Step 2: Configure the conversion job

Make sure the “Do convert to format” checkbox is checked and select the format. In this example we picked JPEG 2000, but the drop down menu also gives you the choices for EPS, JPG, PDF and more than a dozen other formats!  You can also select a different output folder if you want to. This is the location where the files converted to JPEG 2000 will be stored.

The program will default to preserve EXIF/IPTC/XMP metadatas which will preserve all the details about the photo – date it was taken, brand of camera used, model of camera used and much more detail.  You can choose to turn this off to make the file a bit smaller or to hide any of that information.   You can also choose to reduce the image size and in this example we’ll turn these files into thumbnail size images.

Click on start and moments later, you will see the final screen and you have your new JPEG 2000 thumbnail files!  Tip – We always suggest you save the original CR2 files as these will have the best quality if you ever need to convert to other formats in the future.
